Booking terms & Conditions

All cancellations need to be done in writing. Please send your cancellation to vesturferdir@vesturferdir.is.

Cancellation received beyond 14 days prior to departure:

West Tours reserves the right to hold 10% of the value of the tour.

Cancellation received 14 – 2 days prior to departure:

West Tours reserves the right to hold 50% of the value of the tour.

Cancellation received less than 2 days prior to departure:

No refund.

The tour’s date may be changed with a month’s notice.

Groups 20 PAX or more:

The confirmation fee of 25% will be charged upon booking, which is non-refundable. The final payment needs to be settled no less than 30 days prior to departure.

Minimum PAX on a tour

The minimum number of passengers varies and is presented in the itinerary of every tour. If the minimum is not reached 24h prior to departure, the tour might be canceled and the customer will be notified by phone and refunded.

West Tours reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change the schedule of every tour, due to weather or other matters, e.g., if the minimum number of passengers is not reached.

West Tours reserves the right to change tour dates if the change is made with more than a month’s notice.

Cancellation terms can be different than those mentioned above, e.g., for conferences or larger groups.

West Tours reserves the right to change tours, their itineraries, and departure times without notice, if necessary.

In the event of changes to flights (domestic or international) or boat tours that may prevent the customer to reach his/her booked tour with West Tours, the customer is responsible for any additional costs incurred, e.g., accommodation, food, and another mode of transportation.

West Tours does not provide any insurance for their customers or their luggage and therefore we encourage our customers to have their own travel insurance.

A passenger in a tour is obliged to obey all instructions from West Tours’ tour guide and respect Icelandic regulations and laws, as he/she is responsible for all damage he/she might cause.
