







Traditional Icelandic jumpers, lopapeysa, and other woollen garments are made with lopi, Icelandic wool that is used both unspun and spun. Learn the technique of knitting with this natural yarn and get a taste of traditional Westfjords knitting patterns.
After a short introduction to the history of wool production, knitting and knitting design in Iceland, participants will learn about the different types of lopi and how they are best utilised in knitted garments. The majority of the workshop is spent knitting with instruction and assistance, resulting in a take-home swatch of your knitting efforts.
